Shiba Inu confirmed that Shibarium will gain full on-chain privacy by the second quarter of 2026. Lucie, a core team member, shared on X that cryptography firm Zama will integrate its encryption technology into the network. This system will enable smart contracts to operate on encrypted data. It also ensures that sensitive information stays protected across all user interactions. The team aims to push Shibarium beyond the typical Layer-2 model and turn it into a privacy-focused chain.
