Abstract generation in progress

According to Foresight News, NEAR announced that it will officially offer a 600-millisecond block time and a 1.2-second final confirmation time. The time it takes for NEAR to generate a new block is drastically reducedThanks to NEAR's Doomslug consensus, building a block at the top level provides substantial finality guarantees, and only a slashable malicious attack can revoke the previous block. Finality (i.e., the time it takes for a transaction to become irreversible) is now 1.2 seconds, which is 10 times faster than Solana and more than 600 times faster than Ethereum and L2s.
