Musk claims Mars will be part of the United States.
On March 31, Jin10 reported that American entrepreneur Elon Musk said at a rally in Wisconsin on March 30, "America is like a big ship, and people must work together; they cannot abandon ship and escape." Musk stated that he "would rather die in America than go anywhere else." He also seemingly half-joked that he "might go to Mars, but that would also be part of America." On March 15, Musk posted on social media that SpaceX's next-generation heavy-lift rocket "Starship" is expected to carry TSL's humanoid robot "Optimus" to Mars by the end of 2026. Musk said that if the landing goes smoothly, a crewed mission to Mars "could be implemented as early as 2029, but the likelihood is greater for 2031."
