The US non-farm payroll data for March exceeded expectations, with the unemployment rate reaching a two-year high.

Gate news bot message, according to the latest published data, the non-farm payroll employment in the U.S. increased by 228,000 in March, exceeding the market expectation of 135,000. The previous data for February was revised down from 151,000 to 117,000.

During the same period, the unemployment rate in the United States rose to 4.2%, higher than the expected 4.1% and the previous 4.1%, reaching its highest level since the end of 2021.
