On May 5, Jin10 reported that the Israel Defense Forces' investigation into the two soldiers injured last Saturday in Gaza City found that they were likely hit by Hamas rockets, rather than by the initially suspected tank shell malfunction. Among the two soldiers from the 46th Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade, one was seriously injured and the other lightly injured, with the explosion occurring at a military camp in the eastern Gaza City districts of Daraj and Tuffah. The investigation led by Colonel Nir Ifergan, commander of the Jerusalem Brigade, has determined that these soldiers were "most likely" hit by rockets targeting the camp, rather than by a tank shell explosion.
