UN officials: It is necessary to extend the mandate of the UNIFIL mission.

Jin10 data reported on June 28 that the mandate of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon will expire in August this year. The Lebanese government has already sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General requesting an extension of the UNIFIL mandate until August 31 next year. On the 27th, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, stated that due to the incomplete implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701 regarding the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, it is necessary for the UNIFIL to continue its mission.
