US jobless claims hit a new high in recent years after nine consecutive weeks of increase.

On July 3rd, Jinshi Data reported that the number of people in the United States applying for unemployment benefits has risen for the ninth consecutive week. This is the longest period since 2018, indicating that more and more people are struggling to find new jobs. Data released by the US Department of Labor on Wednesday showed that the number of people continuously claiming unemployment benefits as of the week ending on June 22nd increased to 1.86 million, the highest level since November 2021. The number of people applying for initial unemployment benefits increased by 4,000 to 238,000 last week.
