Gate.io, 19.09.2021 - HSBC Asia Forex Research Director Joey Zhou said that Asian currencies will face downward risks in the coming months. HSBC Bank commented that considering the average decline of the US dollar against Asian currencies by 5% this quarter, the market seems to have already digested most of the time of the Fed's 12-18 month interest rate cut cycle. HSBC also stated that the potential risk of a significant increase in tariffs during the Republican president's term may also increase the pressure on Asian currencies.
