PANews October 26th news, a16z engineer @NoahCitron stated on X platform that Helios is becoming a multi-chain light client for Ethereum. The light client is the foundation of Ethereum's expansion. The future of having thousands of Rollups seems not far away, and the closer we get to this goal, the more important Rollup interoperability becomes. Vitalik Buterin responded that this is an important step, and the subsequent steps include: integrating Helios (or alternative solutions) into user wallets, putting L2 configurations on-chain, and specifying state verification rules for L2 configurations. Once completed, universal light client verification for both L1 and L2 can be obtained.
