On October 31st, Shell stated in a report that the company's liquefied natural gas (LNG) production from January to September 2024 rose by 4% year-on-year, reaching 22.03 million tons. Shell produced 7.6 million tons of liquefied natural gas in the first quarter, 6.9 million tons in the second quarter, and 7.5 million tons in the third quarter. In addition, Shell's LNG sales in the first 9 months rose by 3% to reach 50.32 million tons. In the first quarter of 2024, the company's LNG sales were 16.87 million tons, 16.41 million tons in the second quarter, and 17.04 million tons in the third quarter. Shell expects LNG production in the fourth quarter of 2024 to be between 6.9 and 7.5 million tons.
