The latest data shows that Italy's service industry PMI rose from 50.4 in January to 53.0 in February, easily surpassing the 50 boom-bust line. Jonas Feldhusen, an economist at Hamburg Commercial Bank, said, "Italy has finally received some good news." He said that service activities have significantly increased, with companies reporting an increase in sales and gaining new customers.
