这一表态迅速引发XRP阵营反击。律师Bill Morgan批评Rynes存在偏见，而Ripple首席技术官David Schwartz则从代币分发逻辑出发进行回应，强调XRP销售是一种长期透明的市场化分配机制。但Rynes反驳称，该模式更倾向于优先服务股权持有者利益。
争议进一步延伸至代币经济模型。Ripple近期以约500亿美元估值启动7.5亿美元股票回购，而Chainlink则通过协议收入持续增持LINK代币。两种路径分别代表“股权价值回收”与“代币价值回流”，成为社区争论的核心。
从市场数据来看，XRP市值约为910亿美元，显著高于LINK的约70亿美元规模，但LINK价格距历史高点回撤幅度更大。双方支持者围绕“机构采用红利归属”展开长期对立，争论可追溯至2019年。
值得注意的是，尽管社区冲突加剧，两者在实际业务上并非直接竞争关系。Chainlink主要提供预言机与跨链数据服务，而XRPL定位于支付网络与价值转移基础设施。事实上，Ripple推出的稳定币RLUSD已采用Chainlink的数据支持。
