Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group opens new base focusing on Web3 and stablecoin research

[Bit推] One of Japan's three major banks, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMBC), has announced the establishment of a new business co-creation hub "HOOPSLINK" in Marunouchi, Tokyo, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI, Web3, Quantum Computing, stablecoins, and AR applications. This hub aims to promote the co-creation of new businesses between large enterprises and startups, and accelerate the implementation of SMBC's existing stablecoin-related research into concrete projects.
