Solana Company Announces New Features to Attract Attention in Corporate Hunt! - Coin Bulletin
Solana's (SOL) infrastructure company Helius has announced new privacy-focused token features to attract institutional investors.
Privacy-focused transactions on the Solana network are now becoming more comprehensive and convenient. Solana's infrastructure company Helius has implemented new features called "Confidential Balances" (Gizli Bakiyeler) to attract enterprise users. This feature was introduced as the zero-knowledge first encrypted token standard, designed for institutional compliance and enabling transactions to be completed in under seconds, according to the Solana Developers** account shared on X.
With Confidential Balances, users will be able to put their balances into a hidden state, transfer them privately, and bring them back to a visible state whenever they want. This process also includes operations such as hiding the total token supply, encrypted balances and transfers, token production, and token burning. The system ensures the accuracy of transactions while hiding user balances through advanced technologies such as zero knowledge proofs and homomorphic encryption.
This innovative system developed by Helius has the potential to attract the financial sector's interest. It opens the door to numerous use cases such as encrypted salary payment services, inter-business confidential money transfers, and other financial transactions that require privacy. When JavaScript based ZK-proof libraries are released in the later months of 2025, developers will be able to create user-friendly web or mobile wallet integrations much more easily.
Currently, Confidential Balances are directly available for use by Rust-based backend systems and “Wallets-as-a-Service” providers. These solutions will enable users to adapt to the system more quickly until local wallet support matures.
The Solana team defines these new features not as "anonymity", but rather within the framework of "privacy and confidentiality" focused specifically on user privacy. The process, which began with secret transfers following the introduction of the "Token2022" standard in June 2024, has now been taken much further thanks to Confidential Balances.
