I just learned about Bitcoin transaction fees and found a few interesting points. Basically, what is a txn? A txn is short for transaction, and the fee for each txn on the Bitcoin blockchain is determined by two main factors.

First is the size of the transaction, measured in virtual bytes (vB). Second is the fee you choose when sending the txn — whether you want it confirmed quickly or can wait a bit to save on fees.

The cool thing is that currently, the minimum fee is set at 1 sat/vB, which is quite low compared to before. But if you add more inputs or outputs to your txn, the size will increase, leading to higher fees. For example, if you send from 5 different wallets, that transaction will be larger than sending from just one wallet.

So, the reason why a txn is what it is and how much the fee is depends on how you structure that transaction. Understanding this helps optimize fees when sending Bitcoin.
