Poloniex and Justin Sun's HTX withdraw a large amount of money from AAVE

robot
Abstract generation in progress

Justin Sun's exchanges, including Poloniex and HTX, have just withdrawn hundreds of millions USD from the AAVE lending platform. The wallet “Poloniex 9”, which was previously involved in the refund after the hack, withdrew 45,000 ETH on November 5 and quickly transferred it to Lido for staking.

At the same time, HTX also withdrew 500 million and 300 million USD tether, along with 30,000 ETH, and then sent the entire amount to Lido. Previously, Sun committed that Poloniex would conduct an independently verified reserve audit, but later admitted that it could not meet the requirements. Both Sun and Poloniex did not disclose details of the incident. The continuous transfer of large amounts of assets by the two exchanges — resembling trading behavior rather than reserve management — raises doubts about transparency. The two exchanges have yet to respond to requests for clarification.

HTX-0.42%
SUN-0.62%
AAVE0.26%
