On November 4, according to Bloomberg, SBF's lawyers will argue to the appellate court that the media, prosecutors, and U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan rushed to judgment, leading to his wrongful conviction. SBF's lawyers are requesting a change of judge for a retrial. The defense team argues that SBF had no intention of defrauding clients, as he always believed that user funds would be fully repaid, and Judge Kaplan incorrectly prevented him from explaining to the jury the key fact that “FTX has sufficient assets to repay exchange users.” According to a source earlier this year, in addition to the appeal, SBF's parents have been seeking a pardon from President Donald Trump.
