Trump supports the release of documents related to Epstein.

Abstract generation in progress

Jin10 reported that Trump stated on Sunday local time that House Republicans should vote to demand the Justice Department release documents related to Epstein, which effectively overturns his position from previous months. While returning to the White House from Florida, Trump posted on social media: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein documents because we have nothing to hide, and it's time to move forward. The House Oversight Committee can obtain all the information they are legally entitled to; I don't care!” Last week, congressional committees released about 20,000 pages of emails and other documents, shifting focus from the government shutdown controversy to the issue of document disclosure, forcing the White House to respond. The House will vote this week on whether to demand the Justice Department release these investigative documents. Previously, Trump and the White House had stated that there was no need to release more documents. Last Friday, Trump told reporters, “I don't care whether it's released,” and called the matter an interference with his second term. (Jin10)
