BitGo Expands Canton Coin Support With Electronic Trading and Settlement on Go Network - Crypto Economy

BitGo expanded its support for Canton Coin with the addition of electronic trading and settlement through Go Network. With this expansion, the firm becomes the first regulated U.S.-based infrastructure provider to combine custody, OTC trading, electronic execution and settlement in a single platform for Canton Coin.

The integration allows institutions to custody Canton Coin in regulated and insured cold storage, operate electronically via APIs and user interface with access to aggregated liquidity, execute through the OTC desk for spot and derivatives trading, and settle instantly between counterparties on Go Network on a continuous basis, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Adam Sporn, Head of Prime Brokerage and Institutional Sales at BitGo, noted that institutions need market infrastructure they can use in production, and that the integrated workflow helps move capital more efficiently, reducing operational burden and pre-funding risk. The Canton ecosystem is establishing itself as a coordination layer for regulated financial markets, focused on privacy, interoperability and real-world assets.
