Impor minyak India dari Timur Tengah mencapai rekor tertinggi pada November, sementara pangsa minyak Rusia turun ke level terendah dalam tiga kuartal.

Data 10 Jin December 23, 2019, ship tracking data provided by sources showed that India’s crude oil imports in November reached the highest level in nine months from the Middle East, while the share of Russian oil in India’s imports fell to the lowest level in three quarters. Despite the sanctions aimed at reducing Moscow’s funding for the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Indian refining companies have been purchasing large quantities of lower-priced Russian oil. Data shows that as the world’s third-largest oil importing and consuming country, India’s oil imports from Russia in November decreased by 13% compared to October, to 1.52 million barrels per day, accounting for about 32% of India’s total imports. An Indian refinery official said that some refineries reduced their imports of Russian oil due to maintenance and repair work at the factories, while continuing to extract the established amount of oil as per the annual contracts signed with oil-producing countries in the Middle East.
