South Korean military: A wildfire has occurred in the Korean Demilitarized Zone, firefighting efforts are being organized.

On April 11, Jin10 reported that according to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, at around 16:30 local time on April 10, an unknown cause wildfire occurred in the Demilitarized Zone near Gangwon-do’s Goseong County. The South Korean Forest Service deployed two firefighting helicopters to commence operations from 6:30 on April 11. The South Korean military stated that so far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to facilities on the South Korean side. The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea indicated that firefighting operations south of the inter-Korean military demarcation line are proceeding smoothly. The South Korean side is also on alert, closely monitoring North Korean movements.
