Lighter has announced a significant milestone in transparency after completing comprehensive audits of its perpetual and spot trading systems. The project has officially open-sourced all the code used to verify all on-chain activities, including order placement, cancellations, and liquidations.
Publicly sharing this verification mechanism allows anyone to independently check how transactions are processed at the protocol level. This move aims to enhance trust, reduce information asymmetry, and demonstrate Lighter’s strong commitment to security and openness. At the same time, the published source code also shows how Lighter’s Layer 2 infrastructure is built, monitored, and protected when linked and secured on Ethereum.
