Odaily Planet Daily News Oasys, a chain gaming platform, announced a major upgrade to its Layer 1 (Hub Layer) in September. The v1.5.0 update will reduce the block time from 15 seconds to 6 seconds, aiming to improve network performance and user experience to adapt to the continuously rising activities on the Verse Layer. Oasys stated that the shortened Block time will double the processing capacity of the Hub Layer per unit time, which will help support the increasing number of users, games, and applications. However, faster Block generation may lead to an increase in the operating costs of validators.
