Fed's Schmid: Fed may not achieve 2% inflation target until 2026

Golden Finance reported that Schmid of the Federal Reserve said that it is expected that the Fed may not achieve the 2% inflation target until 2026. The last stage of reducing inflation to 2% may be the most challenging for monetary policy. There is a certain contradiction between the Fed's quantitative tightening and interest rate cuts. The Fed's balance sheet position still suppresses yields. Currently, it will oppose any move to stop the reduction of the Fed's balance sheet. It does not want the measures to reduce the balance sheet to lead to Fluctuation.
