HSBC Holdings hits over 11-year high intraday, completes $3 billion share buyback

On February 12, Jinshi Data reported that HSBC Holdings (00005.HK) rose 1.2% to 84.8 Hong Kong dollars in midweek, the highest since December 2013. The company announced earlier that it had completed a share buyback totaling approximately $3 billion, repurchasing about 186 million ordinary shares at an average price of 7.4862 pounds per ordinary share from locations in the UK weighted by Trading Volume, and repurchasing about 131 million ordinary shares at an average price of 74.4516 Hong Kong dollars per ordinary share from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange weighted by Trading Volume.
