Jinse Finance reported that Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said on social media that Circle’s US dollar stablecoin USDC will be released on the Base network next week. The new version will replace the USDbC that most users rely on and eventually eliminate the need for a USDbC bridge version . As of press time, the Circle team has yet to announce a specific date for the coin’s official launch, with Allaire saying only that it will be released sometime “next week.”

According to PANews on August 29, Base issued a document stating that native USDC will soon land on the Base mainnet, and native and bridging USDC (USDbC) will continue to coexist on Base.
