Jin10 data reported on October 17th, local time on the 16th, a spokesperson for the Fishermen and Friends of the Sea organization in Trinidad and Tobago stated that the U.S. military conducted an airstrike on a vessel in international waters near Venezuela this week, resulting in the deaths of 6 people, including 2 Trinidad and Tobago nationals. The spokesperson noted that Trinidad and Tobago maritime law requires that suspicious vessels must be intercepted, not destroyed. Due to the attack, local fishermen are afraid to go out to sea to fish. U.S. President Trump stated on social media on the 14th that the U.S. military sank a “drug trafficking vessel” again in international waters near the coast of Venezuela that day, resulting in the deaths of 6 people on board.
