O
New and old suckers, look here: I originally thought coming to the crypto world would lead to wealth, but unexpectedly it has led to huge losses!!! Below is a summary of experiences from an old sucker, hoping to help everyone.
1. Since 2024, spot trading has become increasingly difficult, especially for those who are impatient; they are either stuck in losses or on the path to breaking even. As a result, everyone has shifted their focus to contracts, which essentially means using leveraged funds to trade, allowing for both long and short positions.
2. Let's get straight to the point without analyzing the reasons for losses. I believe the reasons why most suckers lose money are largely similar, as they have all gone through this journey together, and the hardships are not worth mentioning.
3. Clearly define your position: if you want to get rich overnight or achieve stable profits. If you want stable profits, continue reading. If you want to get rich overnight, you can exit now.
4. To achieve stable profits, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the following conditions (correct viewpoints, valid logic, and controllable risks).
a. Position size: The position size is related to the leverage, taking 100x as an example. For each order, the position size is 5% (with a stop loss at 2.5% for larger positions). If calculated by quantity, you can simply divide the value of the position opened proportionally by the coin price to convert it into quantity. For ETH or SOL, which have larger fluctuations, the position can be adjusted smaller.
b. Stop Loss: The reason why it doesn't matter how many times you open a position is that you have a stop loss. The maximum stop loss for each order cannot exceed 5% of the principal (at least 20 orders for error tolerance).
c. Opening Mode: Many strategies can be profitable, but frequent changes in strategy often lead to significant losses (long-term bottom fishing, top-holding). I personally experienced significant losses due to changing strategies; following the initial strategy was profitable. I started live streaming to better motivate myself to open positions according to the strategy; it's best to stick to one fixed strategy. This account mainly focuses on right-side openings, with stop-losses based on signals at key levels on the left side.
5. Things are often easy to say but difficult to do. Meeting the above 3 conditions is enough to survive in the crypto world. Whether one can achieve this is a key issue - restraining human nature. Let us encourage each other.
