Morph Testnet Introduction: Experience the Next Generation L2 Ahead of Time
In the blockchain world, the mainnet is a formal match, while the Testnet is a rehearsal. Morph, as an Optimistic + ZK hybrid architecture L2 solution, provides developers with the Hoodi Testnet, allowing everyone to familiarize themselves with its performance and tools in a low-risk environment.
To participate in the Testnet, you first need to add parameters: Testnet parameters👇
Chain ID: 2910
RPC URL:
Explorer:
Bridge:
The public RPC has a limit of 600 requests per minute. If higher TPS is needed, a private RPC can be requested.
Block and Fee Mechanism
🔵Morph uses a fee model similar to Ethereum's mainnet EIP-1559:
🔵Base Fee: 0.001 gwei
🔵Priority Fee: The minimum for the Testnet is 0.01 gwei (to prevent Spam), and on the mainnet it can be 0.
Block generation rules:
🔹1 non-empty block per second
🔹If there are no transactions, an empty block is produced every 5 seconds.
🔹A maximum of 100 transactions can be accommodated per block (the limit will be increased later).
Cross-chain bridge rules
🔹Deposit: Requires waiting for 2 Ethereum epochs (approximately 13–20 minutes)
🔹Withdrawal: There is a 48-hour challenge period. I also tested it in these two days, and the mainnet allows withdrawals directly to the @global exchange!
In addition, the Testnet bridge supports adding new assets and can also perform cross-chain wrapping through LayerZero.
Node Deployment
Morph Testnet supports developers to run full nodes and validating nodes via Docker or locally. The official documentation has provided a node deployment guide.
The Hoodi Testnet is not only an environment for developers to practice, but also a rehearsal venue for @MorphLayer's technical roadmap. Whether it's contract deployment, bridging experience, or block production performance, developers can validate here in advance.
For developers planning to build applications on Morph, the Testnet is the first step: get familiar with Hoodi first, and then showcase your skills on the mainnet.
