Recently, looking at the market, I feel like there's a lack of excitement. Decentralized Finance, AI, MEME... After these concepts have been hyped in turn, I have a vague feeling that the next thing to be ignited by funds is very likely to be what we are most familiar with - games.
Why games? The reason is simple, just look around you. Who is the future and main force of the crypto world? It's young people. And what is the essential need that young people never tire of? It's games. These "dog traders" are sharper than anyone else; they will never miss a field that has a large real user base and extremely high participation. Games inherently possess the genes of "play and earn" and a large community, making it the ideal soil that blockchain projects dream of.
Signs have already emerged; let's take the recent fluctuations of YGG as an example.
YGG (Yield Guild Games), as a leading gaming guild, has been quite active recently. It is not only expanding its ecosystem through the launch pad program but also investing a substantial amount of tokens into reward contracts while continuously integrating new games. Behind this is tangible development aimed at increasing the real utility of tokens, rather than just making empty promises.
What is even more intriguing is the attitude of the team. During the market downturn, the team made substantial buybacks with real money. This is not just a casual statement of "optimism" but a vote of confidence by putting money where their mouth is, which has also directly led to the scarcity of the tokens.
From a technical perspective, after experiencing a wave of upward movement, YGG is currently facing resistance in the short term. However, its 6-period RSI briefly entered the "oversold" zone. Simply put, this means that the selling pressure in the short term may have been excessive, which instead lays the groundwork for the next rebound. Looking back at history, tokens supported by a solid ecosystem and community, once they take off, can easily multiply by ten or even dozens of times, which is not surprising at all.
So, what should we do now?
Sensitive funds have begun to position themselves. The gaming sector has been quiet for a long time, and many quality projects are at low prices. For us ordinary players, instead of waiting for the hotspots to fully explode and then chasing high prices, it is better to spend some time now to conduct in-depth research and strategically lay down some positions.
Investment has always been for the perceptive who get to eat the meat first. When everyone is shouting "the gaming hotspot is here," the best entry point may have already passed. Now, the market is giving us a quiet window to get on board.
Of course, I must remind you that the crypto market is highly risky, and any investment decision requires your own in-depth research. However, if you also believe that the future of blockchain is inseparable from the entertainment lives of millions of young people, then please pay close attention to the trends in the gaming sector. Its silent period may not last too long. $YGG
