Let's talk about the diamond hand strategy. Although I can't really hold on tight this time, I don't recommend everyone blindly sticking to diamond hands. If you end up with a complete mess at the end, you might really be in trouble. The most important premise of diamond hands is:
Position management, position management, and again, position management.
Some traders also appear to have super diamond hands, but they have proper position management. For example, if you have a total of 10 million in assets within the circle and are very bullish on a certain coin with a solid logic, you might allocate 1-2 million to it. This way, you can withstand huge drawdowns. Even if it goes to zero, it’s just a pain, not a devastating blow.
But if you go all-in with 80% of your money or even gamble everything, what if you lose? Would you really consider jumping off a building? No one can win all the time; everyone makes mistakes.
If you believe strongly in a coin and think it will definitely rise to 500 million or even 1 billion, does a 2% or 3% difference really matter? Right, earning 20 million or 30 million won't change your comfortable lifestyle. But if you're wrong and it crashes to zero, then you might be in serious trouble.
Diamond hands are not easy to do. You only see the successful cases, but you don't see the coins that get wiped out. Most coins die, especially in the crypto world—most are trash. We're all just treasure hunters in the dirt.
