Ever wonder what really drives Bitcoin's price swings?

Here's the thing most traders miss: crypto doesn't operate in isolation. The U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) acts as the invisible hand steering global capital flows. When the dollar strengthens, liquidity tightens. When it weakens? Risk assets like BTC tend to catch a bid.

Dan's chart analysis reveals a crucial pattern—every major Bitcoin rally or correction traces back to shifts in dollar dominance. It's not just about on-chain metrics or technical levels. The macro backdrop matters. A lot.

If you're positioning for the next move, keeping one eye on DXY isn't optional. It's the chart that explains why markets turn when they do. Dollar strength? Expect headwinds. Dollar weakness? That's when things get interesting.

The playbook is simpler than it looks: follow the liquidity, follow the money.

The US dollar index has really been underestimated; most people are still focused on on-chain data, not realizing that DXY is the real puppet master. Some are starting to wake up.

The DXY is indeed easy to overlook, but to put it bluntly, the correlation between the Fed's policy and Bitcoin is greater than that of on-chain data, which is somewhat ironic.

The strength of the US dollar is indeed fierce, but is it really that absolute? Bitcoin doesn't just rely on this. After following the charts for so long, it feels like DXY is just one aspect; once the market sentiment changes, everything else is in vain. This theory sounds right, but in practice, we still need to look at the market data response and can't fully trust the macro narrative.

Really, I have never understood this DXY thing, it seems I need to take some lessons again.

After talking about DXY for so long, I just want to ask — how many people are really paying attention to the US Dollar Index chart? From my analysis, most are still dreaming while looking at Candlestick charts.

okay so basically dan just discovered that btc correlates with the dollar... the academic papers on this dropped like 5 years ago but sure let's pretend this is some grand revelation lol. the dxy thesis is legit but framing it like some hidden macro secret when literally every macro trader has been frontrunning this since 2020 is kinda funny ngl
