Traders cannot escape one universal truth—the market is always right, and the mistakes are often made by overconfident predictions.

When making money, respect the market because conditions can change in an instant; when facing losses, reflect on yourself because your account is the most honest report. This is not motivational talk, but a harsh reality.

The most prone to crashes is during a bull run, because greed dulls our rationality. Conversely, during a downturn, one must also restrain that false hope, as true opportunities are often hidden in quiet corners, not in the bustling crowds. This is why most people fail to make big money—they chase after hot trends in lively places but miss the bottom when no one is paying attention.

Regarding stop-loss, to be honest: stop-loss is not a failure; rather, it is the prerequisite for survival. Holding on stubbornly is the fast track to the abyss. Discipline is the armor of trading, protecting you to survive long enough; emotions, on the other hand, are the opposite—they are the fuse for losses. If you cannot control your emotions, you cannot control your account.

That was really harsh, you hit the nail on the head. I’ve been through the same myself, chasing the hot spots at high levels until it hurt. Now I especially understand the phrase "bottoms go unnoticed." The part about stop-losses is spot on; I used to hold on stubbornly a few times before. Truly, one stubborn hold can wipe out a year's worth of gains.

Here we go again with the same old story. I don't know if the market is right or not, but I know my account is always wrong. Really, stop-loss is easy to talk about but extremely hard to do. Every time I try to hold on a bit longer, I end up losing everything. Picking up bargains at the bottom sounds great, but in reality, no one can tell if it's the bottom or if the price will keep dropping.

It's the same old story, I don't know if the market is right or not, but anyway my account is always wrong every day. Don't talk to me about reverence, I don't think about it when making money, only regret when losing. The most heartbreaking part is the bottom, indeed always getting cut when there are many people, missing out on the unpopular... this is ridiculous. Saying stop-loss is easy, but who would be willing at that moment? Thinking it'll recover if I wait a bit longer, but it ends up going straight to hell. If you can't control your emotions, don't trade. It all sounds right, but doing it is all wrong.

The saying is true, but knowing is easy; doing is hard. Truly, only a few people can buy at the bottom with one hand.

It's the same old story, but it really hits the mark. Every time I lose money, I start to regret, and in the next bull market, I repeat the same mistakes. I'm just such a failure.

It's fucking true. I am the one who greedily got mentally impaired during the bull market, and now my account is as thin as a skin and bones. Holding on stubbornly is really poison. If I don't cut losses once, I will never be able to stop losing. No one really sees the bottom opportunity because everyone is chasing those trash coins that hit daily limit-ups. I am the same. After serious reflection, I realize that my problem is not technical analysis, but my inability to control that greed. Seeing prices rise makes me want to go all-in. The market's eternal winner is just so unsolvable. Stop-loss should be treated as a belief, or else it's like gambling with your life. Most people actually know these truths, but can't do it, including myself.
