Ethereum is expected to undergo two major technological upgrades in 2026, which could mean significant implications for the entire crypto ecosystem. Recent news about Ethereum's core roadmap has sparked considerable discussion.
According to the technical plan, the Glamsterdam fork is expected to launch in mid-2026, considered a key breakthrough in performance. The core of this upgrade involves introducing "block access lists" and the "separating proposers and builders" (ePBS) mechanism, aiming to shift Ethereum's transaction processing from a single-channel mode to true multi-channel parallel processing. In other words, it's like expanding from a single lane to a high-speed highway network.
From a numerical perspective, this upgrade plans to increase the Gas limit from the current approximately 60 million to 100 million or even 200 million.
