Every Christmas, Bitcoin's price tells a story about the evolution of the crypto market.
Just look at this data. In Christmas 2025, Bitcoin is priced at $87,500. A year earlier, in 2024, it was $94,206 — although it appears to have pulled back, it’s already in a stable range near its all-time high.
Looking further back, the market fluctuations become even more apparent. In Christmas 2023, it was $43,389; in 2022, it dropped directly to $16,832 — the depths of a bear market. In 2021, it surged to $50,825, setting a peak at the time, while in 2020, it was only $23,475.
The longer the timeline, the more interesting it gets. In 2019, it was $7,318; in 2018, $4,124 — back then, some people thought this price was already high. On Christmas 2017, it reached $13,611, just as a vigorous bull market was about to start. Going further back, in 2016, it was $899; in 2015, $453 — investors from that era probably laugh when they see these numbers now.
The most astonishing figures are from earlier times: in 2014, $330; in 2013, $651; and in 2012, only $13. In 2011, $4; in 2010, $0.25. Christmas 2009, the year Bitcoin was born? Basically no price data.
From $0.25 to $87,500, the span exceeds 340,000 times. This is not just a price increase but also reflects the entire development process of the crypto market from nothing to something, from small to large.
