Many people in the crypto market hit rock bottom, ultimately missing one key thing: patience.

Investing is never a 9-to-5 job. Unlike working a regular job where you get paid after 8 hours, investing tests your mindset—whether you can stay clear-headed amid volatility and resist the temptation to chase trends.

How do 80% of people do it? When prices go up, they rush in; when prices go down, they panic sell. Listening to rumors today and FOMO-ing into the market, then cutting losses tomorrow when prices fall. They keep flipping back and forth, ending up with nothing but paying fees to the exchange.

The truly profitable group is different. They have a set of logic and stick to it unwaveringly. They don’t chase gains or panic sell, nor do they gamble on short-term fluctuations. Instead, they focus on longer cycles. You analyze the fundamentals of a coin, I do too; you wait for opportunities, I wait too. The difference is—I can wait, and you can’t.

How powerful is the compound interest of time? Compare the accounts of those who stick with it for three or five years versus frequent traders, and you'll see the difference. Steady and solid may not be glamorous, but the big picture and understanding are built through this seemingly boring approach.

Really, I've seen too many people holding good coins only to ruin themselves by their own actions. Actually, it's just one sentence: hold on and you'll win. It's nice to say patience, but frankly, those who lack the ability to trade frequently and still want to make money are just dreaming. I just want to ask, how are those who doubled their accounts in three to five years doing now? Stop-loss and cutting losses are really hurtful, but FOMO and rushing in hurt even more. This article hits the point; most people just can't wait those few years. Steady and sure wins the race might sound a bit like chicken soup, but it's really the truth. I've understood it long ago: those who can make money are the ones who can endure.

Sounds good, but let me ask you, how many people can really hold on for three or five years without moving? I think 99% are just talking smoothly.

That's right, but the word patience is too difficult. Look at those around me who are constantly checking the K-line; they've paid several times more in fees, and they still haven't accumulated any coins.

That's right. In the past two years, I couldn't stay patient, kept watching the market every day, and ended up paying a lot in fees without making any profit, truly a painful lesson. Now I finally understand that instead of chasing highs and selling lows, it's better to study the fundamentals. Long-term holding and fishing for big fish is really reliable. I agree, the key is mindset. Most people lose because of FOMO and panic psychology. That's why some double their investment in three or five years, while others stay in the same place. The difference is discipline. I should have realized this truth earlier, but unfortunately, I understood it too late... But on the other hand, knowing and doing are two different things. Resisting temptation is the hardest part. Actually, most people don't lack understanding; they just can't change their habit of chasing hot trends. People who坚持长期持有 (stick to long-term holding) are now probably laughing secretly, while we... You're absolutely right. Thinking back, my frequent trading really scares me now.

That's right, but most people simply can't do it. I myself was the same; I initially vowed to hold long-term, but when it dropped by 10%, I wanted to sell.

That's true, but I found that most people can't stick with it for even three months, let alone three years.
