How does the project team actually make money? After observing for a period of time, there are mainly two common tactics.

The first is the prediction market approach—by controlling the timing of the TGE and carefully managing the release schedule of tokens, they are essentially indirectly influencing the FDV. This tactic has become a common trick in the industry.

But the truly clever method is the second approach. Once the project makes points airdrops as part of their distribution mechanism and also opens up point trading on a certain exchange platform, the entire ecosystem becomes active—giving the project team a new revenue stream.

How does it work? Users actually think like this: rather than waiting until after the TGE to act, it's better to lock in profits early. So they deposit collateral on a platform that supports point trading, sell their points directly, and then wait peacefully for the TGE day to settle. This way, they avoid the risk of price drops and can secure gains in advance. Meanwhile, the trading platform and the project team complete a value transfer during this process. This model is becoming a new利益链条.

Wow, so this is the current tactic. No wonder so many projects are involved in point trading. I've seen through it long ago—dump some tokens before TGE, and whoever gets in loses. Wait, isn't this just legal money harvesting? The platform and project teams profit together, while users think they've made money. Brilliant, they just transfer the risk to retail investors. Clever.

Damn, isn't this just a disguised way of harvesting retail investors? Just a new trick.

Haha, isn't this just cutting leeks? I've seen through the points trading scheme a long time ago.

Damn, isn't this just treating users like ATMs, and calling it "revitalizing the ecosystem"?

Ha, it's the same old trick. I've seen through it long ago—just a new way to fleece the retail investors.

This points trading scheme, to put it plainly, is the project team taking a cut before the harvest... Partners are making crazy profits, retail investors still think they are guaranteed to make money. I've seen through it long ago, and I should run before the TGE. It's another new type of harvesting mechanism, playing right here. The project team really knows how to do the math; users' "risk avoidance" is just their ATM. This wave of points trading... is truly terrifying upon closer inspection. That's right, but more importantly, how much is the platform making from it? If they're playing like this, are there still genuine projects? It all feels like nested tricks. Points trading is just a new shape of the sickle, same old soup, different spoon. The feeling of not being able to get the grapes... but indeed, this model is too clever. Now even points have become tools for harvesting, what's next?

Ha, another "Schrödinger's Airdrop" is dancing. The core is—project teams treat users as cash machines, and the point trading model perfectly exemplifies the philosophy of a bear market, all betting on the next person to take over. --- Now I understand, point trading platforms are essentially project teams' early exit tools, even more cunning than TGE. --- To put it simply, it's financial alchemy, selling expectations to those in a hurry. This aesthetic value is indeed underestimated by the market [laugh-cry]. --- Wait, who is the final bag-holder in this logical chain? It seems everyone is betting on others to take the fall. --- I just want to know, if this model doesn't have a continuous influx of fresh newcomers, how long can this "interest chain" last? --- So users are actually playing psychological games with the project teams—early cash-out vs. long-term holding. Each one more clever than the last. --- Perfectly illustrates the supply and demand lie in the Web3 ecosystem; the floor price has never been the bottom line.
