Most people enter the trading market, seeing only the glitter of money, and few can see through these lights to the dark tunnel that has lasted for decades behind them.
Since you are going to spend your life here, please allow me, as someone who has been through it all, to condense my experiences over the past ten plus years into the following four sentences, hoping they can serve as a lamp on your journey.
The first thing I want to say: I hope you can always remember, and I hope I remember too, that in this marathon of trading, surviving is the greatest victory.
Even if you are exceptionally clever, even if your strategies have been dominating the market over the past year, please put away that youthful arrogance.
The trading market is a ruthless meat grinder; what it loves to devour most are those who believe they have defeated it.
In a lifetime, you will have countless chances to make mistakes, but just one, yes, just one failed all-in gamble, and you will forever lose the qualification to turn the tide.
So, love your principal as you love your life. Never put yourself in irreversible risk.
The second thing I want to say: Believe in the power of “slow,” it is the shortcut to greatness.
I know you crave overnight riches, longing for that code that can elevate you across social classes. But, from a lifetime perspective, those dazzling fireworks often fade in an instant, leaving only ashes behind.
True huge profits do not come from heavy bets and fighting, but from compound interest, the eighth wonder of the world.
Learn to appreciate the correctness of mediocrity, endure the loneliness of slow wealth.
When you no longer try to prove yourself within a week or a month, and when you start planting patiently like a farmer, waiting for the cycle of seasons, the seeds of wealth will have already begun to sprout.
The third thing I want to say: Learn to bow to the market; this is not cowardice, but the highest wisdom.
No matter how many theories you have learned, how many indicators you have mastered, in the face of this vast and chaotic market, we are always just tiny specks of dust.
From a lifetime perspective, black swans will definitely fly in, crises will inevitably occur, and your predictions will certainly fail.
Do not try to be an omniscient prophet, do not try to be an all-weather invincible warrior who can profit from both rises and falls, but be someone with antifragile resilience.
Admit your ignorance, strengthen your defenses, and allocate your assets wisely.
When the storm comes, others may perish in panic, but because you have already built a solid dam, you will become stronger after the rain.
Finally, I want to say what I believe is the most important: Don’t let candlestick charts become your life’s shackle.
My friend, we study desperately, trade diligently, review day and night—what is it all for?
Is it just to have more zeros on the account?
No, it’s not.
It’s for freedom, so that when we want to say “No” to life, we have the confidence to turn and walk away.
If trading causes you to lose sleep, patience with your family, or the ability to feel the evening breeze and sunset, then even if you win the whole world, you will have lost yourself.
Trading is only a part of your life, really just a very small part.
Please stay healthy physically and mentally, keep your love for life—this is the ultimate fuel that will support you through these decades of trading.
This path is destined to be lonely, but you are not alone.
Countless great souls have fallen, risen, cried, and cheered on the road beneath your feet. When you feel lost, remember:
Only through hellish trials can you possess the power to create paradise.
Maintain reverence, patience, and love.
I wish you find your own certainty in this uncertain world.
Hope this helps you, and may we encourage each other. I also wish me good luck.
