Monad is the hottest L1 project this year. The mainnet went live in November 2025, with TVL reaching over $170 million, raising $244 million in funding. The team has a strong background (former senior executives from Jump Trading).
Monad aims to create an L1 that combines “Solana performance + Ethereum compatibility + true decentralization.” Its core selling points are parallel EVM execution + custom database + optimistic concurrency, targeting 10k+ TPS, low gas fees, and hardware requirements low enough for ordinary servers to run nodes.
The technical section of Monad’s white paper is hardcore and credible, with detailed concurrency models and database design. However, the Tokenomics and unlocking details are vague (a typical VC-friendly approach), making it a project that is “technically impressive, with a relatively conservative economic model leaning towards early holders.”
2025
L1 competition is heating up. Monad’s advantages are EVM compatibility + performance. Looking at its token $MON, it’s similar to $RLS—dragging down the market. The project team is causing some issues, but the token price isn’t performing well.
The ecosystem can’t take off → only performance on paper
VC selling pressure → price continues to bottom out
The market still lacks liquidity. It’s hard to see a project that stands out completely. Alpha provides most of the market liquidity. Which tokens do you think can really take off???
