There is an old saying: Discipline beats wisdom, and patience is more important than opportunity. I have been in the crypto world for over eight years, and the weight of this saying has grown deeper over time.
I have seen too many stories of overnight riches, and I have also witnessed more people getting wiped out and going back to zero. I used to fall into traps myself—obsessed with various complex technical indicators, chasing every rise and fall daily in hopes of quick doubling. And what was the result? Constantly paying tuition fees. The real turning point came from a simple realization: the most formidable players in the market are not those with the most agile minds, but those who are most disciplined.
In the 2024-2025 market cycle, I achieved steady account growth using this approach—seems a bit "dumb," but it’s precisely this "dumb method" that allows me to survive the longest.
**The core idea is straightforward: only eat the fish belly, not the head or tail**
Where do 90% of losses in the crypto space come from? Trying to catch the bottom or top. My strategy is two words—wait. Wait until the trend is confirmed before I get on board, and get off before the trend ends. Only profit from the easiest middle segment.
I don’t try to predict where the market bottom is, nor do I guess the top. These are betting games, and I don’t play them. I focus on one thing: wait for the trend to be clear → get on → profit from the middle segment → exit. Sounds dead simple? That’s because it really is. The difficulty lies in the need for extreme patience and discipline—and most people lack both.
**How to operate specifically? Four steps**
**Step 1: Screen for strong assets weekly**
I take time to review the past two weeks’ price movements. What do I focus on? Coins with continuous small bullish candles gradually pushing higher. I generally ignore sudden surges or crashes—big jumps often hide signals of large traders offloading. Especially coins with three consecutive bearish candles—exclude them outright. Not to say they have no rebound potential, but they don’t fit my system. I only trade high-probability setups.
