Is the pack unlocking mechanism good? Well, it depends on whether there are incentive distortion issues later on. This kind of thing is most likely to collapse in the second round. Implementing perpetual contracts sounds easy, but I'm worried it will become another victim of governance inertia. The death of follow-the-leader projects is pretty much the same.
