I want to discuss a case of operational error with everyone and hope to get some advice.

A month ago, at a local offline trading point, when purchasing Bitcoin with CAD, due to our operational mistake, we accidentally transferred 0.1739 BTC to a deactivated account address. We immediately contacted the customer service team of the exchange and even followed up through multiple channels to address this issue.

However, the response we received was always—the same: they had never encountered a similar situation and currently have no solution. Seeing nearly 0.2 BTC just "hovering" like this is truly helpless. I'm a bit stuck now and want to ask if anyone has experienced something similar or has any thoughts and suggestions on this situation?

Oh my, 0.2BTC just like that is gone, I need to feel heartache for a while... --- Is it really impossible to recover a canceled address? I’ve never heard of such a miraculous move. --- Offline transactions have too many pitfalls; I guess this time I’ll just pay the tuition fee. --- I really can't trust what the exchange says, I have to grind their customer service to the limit. --- Come on, most likely this coin can't be recovered, note it as a lesson and be more careful next time. --- Wait, are you sure the address was really canceled? Or is the exchange just fooling you? --- Try asking a different exchange if it’s okay; some customer service reps are just unprofessional. --- This sounds really ridiculous; how can a simple operational mistake just disappear like that?

0.2 BTC just disappeared like that? Man, your operation must be pretty reckless. --- Deactivated address? Then the coins are definitely lost; the blockchain doesn’t care if you slip up. --- Have you asked the big shots in on-chain analysis? Maybe there’s still hope. --- It’s outrageous that the exchange says they’ve never encountered this before. These things happen all the time. --- I should have checked the address three times; a painful lesson. --- This money probably won’t come back. Next time, enable the whitelist. --- I feel for you, but this is probably the tuition you pay when entering the circle. --- Why would someone make a mistake in the address during an offline transaction? That’s suspicious. --- The coins might be permanently locked unless that account is reactivated someday. --- Trying multiple channels to contact customer service is useless? This exchange is pretty disappointing.

Oh no, 0.2 BTC just disappeared like that, really heartbreaking. --- Offline trading points can be like this too, with such poor customer service attitude? If it were me, I would have lost my temper long ago. --- Wait, is it really impossible to recover a canceled address? I feel like there’s something wrong here. --- This is outrageous. The exchange did something wrong and still shifts blame. We users are really having a tough time. --- Maybe I should consult an on-chain analyst. There might still be some room for maneuver. --- 0.2 BTC, oh my god. Such a lesson is really too costly. --- Is it possible to pursue legal action? Although crypto is hard to regulate, it’s worth a try. --- I suggest saving the chat records immediately. They might come in handy later. --- I knew offline trading points are unreliable. Serves them right. --- With this incident, everyone should be more cautious. Always double-check and verify.

Oops, this mistake cost me quite a bit, nearly 0.2 BTC just gone like that. Wait, an account address that has been deregistered? Then the coins are really gone for good, no one can save them. I think it might be best to look at it from the blockchain perspective. It's pretty outrageous that exchanges say they've never encountered this before. Maybe ask the tech community if there's any way to recover. Buying coins at an offline trading point and then crashing like this, brother, that's really tragic. Have you asked the previous owner of that deregistered account? Although it might be a long shot. Next time, think twice before acting. This tuition fee is a bit expensive. --- Sorry to hear you're upset, but according to the nature of the blockchain, this money might be... permanently lost. That's why I never do offline transactions; the risk is just too high. --- Wait, is it possible that you entered the address format incorrectly? Have you verified it multiple times? Maybe try asking some tech experts in the Bitcoin community; they might have some black tech.
