2026 is here. Want to turn your life around? Stop pondering about hot trends and explosive opportunities—most of those chances are out of reach for you.

The three real strategies that can help you change the game are:

**Strategy One: Be ruthless in saving capital**

Charlie Munger’s success stories teach us a simple truth—spend less than you earn. Live simply, avoid debt and consumption traps. Many people, once they have a little spare cash, start thinking about compound interest and doubling their money. But what happens? They haven't even saved enough principal. When young, Munger relied on frugality and side jobs, gradually accumulating his initial capital. Without capital, everything else is just talk.

**Strategy Two: Keep learning to expand your circle of competence**

Improve a little every day, and your range of abilities will grow wider. Munger said it well: focusing on a few truly good opportunities in your lifetime is enough. Instead of blindly chasing trends or messing around, spend your time improving yourself. When real opportunities come, you'll be ready to bet big.

**Strategy Three: Hold on tightly to good assets**

Choose quality assets and hold them long-term. Don’t trade frequently, don’t leverage, don’t gamble, don’t chase hot topics. Munger once said—a lot of big money is made by waiting. Time will help you work the magic of compound interest.

So, don’t mess around blindly, don’t go all-in on impulse, and don’t dream of getting rich overnight. Root yourself in accumulation, keep learning, and patiently wait—this is the real path for ordinary people to succeed.

That's right, but saving up principal is really a torment.

Munger's theory has long been heard to exhaustion, but there are indeed very few who can truly implement it... I myself am the same, saying I want to save up principal, but with a flick of my hand, I buy new coins again haha

That's right, it should have been done this way from the start, but people keep trying their luck one after another, haha.

That's right, but saving up principal is easier said than done.

Munger's approach is indeed fundamental, but those who talk about it the most often do the least.

It's easy to say, but the problem is that most people can't even stick to the first step.
