What does Bitcoin investment rely on? Simply put, it’s faith.

When market data is bearish and public opinion is overwhelmingly pessimistic, those who hold firmly are the ones who will ultimately succeed. This is not irrational; it’s a clear-headed choice in times of information chaos.

Technical analysis, to be honest, is very difficult to accurately predict Bitcoin’s short-term movements. Just look at those post-hoc analyses—most of the time, they are just armchair quarterbacking. Short-term trading and high-frequency quantitative operations? The risks are outrageously high, and retail investors following the trend usually end up losing.

Institutions are bullish, and analysts release price forecasts; on the surface, these are supported by data, but deep down, they are still providing psychological support to market participants. With this support, faith becomes even stronger. True winners never get caught up in short-term fluctuations; they bet on long-term trends and their confidence in Bitcoin itself.

well, *actually* faith is just another word for "i didn't do the math on my position sizing" lol. the whole "hodlers win" narrative conveniently ignores survivorship bias tho... show me the empirical data on avg retail hodler returns vs early exit strategies and we can talk

On-chain data shows that addresses with longer holding times are less active, indicating that it's no longer called faith, but rather numbness.

Basically, it's about gambling mentality. Faith is something that can't withstand a pullback test. Faith sounds lofty, but when the price drops, who can stay firm? The promise of long-term holding turns into quick cuts. Institutional psychological support? In the end, it's just a game of relay for the leek players. Technical analysis is purely armchair strategy; short-term retail investors lose so much they doubt life itself. Who believes in this theory is just being naive. Long-term holding sounds right, but few can really endure it. Most are still trapped and continue to comfort themselves.

Basically, it's about gambling on human nature—betting that most people will panic and sell at a loss.

Actually, the whole "faith" framing here is precisely why most people miss the real algorithmic primitives at play... Bitcoin's value proposition transcends mere belief—it's fundamentally rooted in cryptographic immutability and the hash-based consensus mechanism that underpins digital sovereignty itself.
