【Dahao Financial Cube News】 On February 12, Beijing time, due to investors’ ongoing concerns about the disruptive potential of artificial intelligence (AI), the major U.S. stock indices all plummeted. By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.34% to 49,451.98 points; the S&P 500 dropped 1.57% to 6,832.76; and the Nasdaq declined 2.03% to 22,597.15.

Large tech stocks all declined, with Nvidia down 1.64%, Apple down 5.00%, Microsoft down 0.63%, Google down 0.63%, Amazon down 2.20%, Meta down 2.82%, Tesla down 2.62%, Broadcom down 3.38%, Oracle down 0.43%, Netflix down 4.72%, and Micron Technology up 0.88%.

Popular Chinese concept stocks also fell collectively, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index down 3.00%, Alibaba down 3.40%, JD.com down 2.65%, Pinduoduo down 4.16%, NIO down 2.37%, Xpeng Motors down 2.26%, Li Auto down 2.08%, Bilibili down 4.87%, Baidu down 4.64%, NetEase down 0.28%, Ctrip down 6.01%, Tencent Music down 10.57%, and Xiaoma Zhixing down 2.59%.

International precious metals prices saw significant declines. Spot gold temporarily fell below the $4,900 mark. At the time of writing, spot gold was down 3.27% at $4,917.09 per ounce; COMEX gold futures fell 3.19% to $4,936 per ounce. Spot silver dropped 10.84% to $75.07 per ounce; COMEX silver futures declined 10.93% to $74.75 per ounce.
