Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 5 — Aave Labs recently announced that the Aave V4 protocol has completed a comprehensive security review lasting approximately 345 days, with a total investment of $1.5 million. The project adopts a “security-first” strategy, implementing multi-layer security controls from the architecture design stage. The security review included manual audits, formal verification, invariant testing, fuzz testing, and a six-week public security competition, which attracted over 900 participants submitting more than 950 reports.

The audit results showed that all major auditing agencies (including ChainSecurity, Trail of Bits, and Blackthorn) found no high-severity vulnerabilities. Aave V4 features a new hub-and-branch modular design, making the codebase smaller than V3 and improving audit efficiency. Aave Labs stated they will continue to maintain the formal verification framework and invariant testing suite, and plan to establish ongoing bug bounty programs to ensure the protocol’s long-term security.
