People’s Financial News, March 7 — Today, with the rapid development of technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, “algorithm recommendation” has improved the efficiency of information distribution but also led to the phenomenon of information cocoons. Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Zhou Shihong, suggests that platforms implement “algorithm choice rights,” allowing users to select between different types of algorithm models; platforms should incorporate multiple goals in “algorithm design,” such as information diversity, content quality, and social value, and strictly prohibit practices like data-driven “familiarity killing” and manipulation of rankings for hype.
