National Committee Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chen Hengli, proposed accelerating the construction of low-altitude economic networks in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area during this year’s two sessions. He emphasized that although the gates are open, many “small gates” such as customs, health standards, and airspace management still need to be addressed. He suggested developing pilot programs and establishing special working groups to coordinate infrastructure planning and market cultivation, promoting the development of fresh cold chain logistics. Chen Hengli pointed out that once policy barriers are removed, economic benefits will become evident, especially through scale effects to reduce costs. The Hong Kong SAR government and mainland authorities have already listed low-altitude economy as a future industry, and both sides are actively promoting its development. (21 Finance)
