Brian Jacobsen: Middle East conflict will change the US inflation trajectory, and the Federal Reserve will hold steady

Abstract generation in progress

Mars Finance reports that according to Jin10, Annex Wealth Management Chief Economist Brian Jacobsen stated that the February inflation data was initially heading in the right direction, but the emergence of Middle East conflicts changed that trajectory. Energy, which could have led to deflation, is now instead causing inflation. Due to chaos in the fertilizer market, food prices may also begin to show signs of accelerating inflation. The Federal Reserve is likely to emphasize maintaining interest rates, but monetary policy cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz, so these tough statements are probably just verbal commitments.
