IT House, February 25 — Sony’s Guerrilla Studio announced that their multiplayer cooperative action game, “Horizon: Hunters Gathering,” will hold a closed beta from February 27 to March 1, 2026.

This test will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam). Registration is currently open, but participation is limited to PlayStation Beta Test Program members in North America and Europe.

The North American server will be available from 8:00 to 11:00 Beijing time on the test day, and the European server from 2:00 to 5:00 Beijing time the next day. During the test, only English will be supported, but the official states that future tests will include more regions and languages. The game’s Steam page is now live, allowing users to add it to their wishlist and view it in Simplified Chinese.

In this closed beta, players can experience three selectable hunter characters (Axle, Rem, Sun) and participate in two game modes: “Mechanical Invasion” (wave defense gameplay where players cooperate to fend off mechanical creatures) and “Crucible Deep Dive” (multi-stage dungeon exploration). The game supports up to three players in online co-op, with combat emphasizing strategy and teamwork, testing players’ quick reflexes and skill application.

Notably, another Sony PlayStation game, “Lost Starship: Marathon,” will also undergo a stress test starting at 2:00 AM Beijing time on February 27, 2026, and will run until 2:00 AM on March 3.
